I just had to draw something for Fire and Hemlock. The cello! Tom Lynn!
I got the idea for the green orb thing from the British cover of F&H... the picture was looking kind of strange all by itself, so I decided to play around with Photoshop to see if I could make a convincing orb thing. The cello took the longest in this pic, simply because I can't seem to get string instrument shapes correct without having to look up multiple photos to base them off of. I had lots of fun figuring out how to get the wood texture though. Red finish, auugh. ^_^ Somehow the position works. Erm. The text is from the excerpts of Tam Lin and Thomas The Rhymer poems in the book. I think I may need sleep. XP
OMG!!!! *huggles Ki-chan* You are my hero. He looks /wonderful/. Better than how I imagine him. *siiiiigh* The red finish on the cello came out really nice! He looks really gentle, kinda sad, and his expression is almost like he's asking for help ... you don't have to if you don't want to, but it would be nice. =^_^=;; *babbles* The orb came out looking really good too. The coloring around the fingertips is a bit blotchy, but very small detail. The words make it look so good!! AUGH! I LOVE YOU!
YOU DREW TOM LYNN! omg kekeke!! *falls over* Ki-chan is my herooo~~ I knew you'd like him. Muahahah. Him and his playing cello and sort of subtle resistance and desperation, and the way everything is implied, never spoken outright, and the way your perception of him changes so much, but slowly, as Polly's does, and and and... *^__^* The hands are a bit funny, maybe, but that's okay. I love the way you used the words! And the orb thing is a nifty idea, too. DWJissocool. I love his expression, it fits him so well. *sigh* The cello woodgrain pattern looks just right. Mm, pretty string instruments. ^.^ I like the clothes you gave him, too. They fit. *nodnod* I'm still so happy you actually drew him! Lalala~ Is it just me, or did he remind you a tad of Lupin, too?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
